Keeping Your Identity Secure
Review your credit report
Review your accounts
Fight identity theft by monitoring and reviewing your credit report. You may request your free credit report in 3 ways: online,
by phone or through the mail. The Fair Credit Reporting Act requires each of the nationwide consumer reporting companies -
Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion - to provide you with a free copy of your credit report, at your request, once every 12 months. The
three companies have set up one central website, toll-free telephone number, and mailing address through which you can order your free
credit report.
(1) Request your Credit Report Online
You can see and print your report online. It's Quick, Easy and Secure. There is one official
website to order from: www.annualcreditreport.com.
(2) Request your Credit Report by Phone
Call 1-877-322-8228 to request your credit reports by phone. You will go through a simple
verification process over the phone. Your request will be processed within 15 days of receiving your request and your reports will be
mailed to you.
(3) Request your Credit Report by Mail
You can request your credit report by mail by filling out the request form and mailing it to:
Annual Credit Report Request Service
P.O. Box 105281
Atlanta, GA 30348-5281
For your convenience we have placed a copy of the free credit report request on the application link above.
Just as it's important to check your credit report for accuracy from time to time, it is equally important to review your banking
statements and accounts on a regular basis. Use Beacon's
Internet Banking to review your accounts in real-time. See your account
activity as it happens by you or a would-be thief. Fighting identity theft begins with you and your accounts. Review them
regularly.
