Beacon Supports The Samaritan Center

2011 marks the 2nd year that Beacon Federal has partnered with the Samaritan Center of Syracuse, NY. To help make someone's day just a little easier and a little brighter is truly a rewarding experience, and this has inspired us to do more for the Samaritan Center and the patrons who visit...
 

Every month Beacon sponsors a meal and our employees & their families volunteer at the center to serve it. Aside from volunteering, we also collect & donate personal hygiene products to help stock their hygiene cart, and we prepare home made desserts that are served with dinner.

As most of the patrons who visit the center are unable to return for their next meal, we have organized a Sandwich Drive. One morning every month we gather around and make anywhere from 150 to 200 individually wrapped sandwiches to deliver to the Samaritan Center where they are given to the patrons.

We believe the holidays should be special for everyone so this past year we did our best to share this joy with the patrons by collecting and donating wrapped Christmas gifts, sending Valentines, and coloring & collecting Easter eggs & candy.
