How much does it cost? There is no fee to sign up for or to keep Overdraft Coverage on your Beacon Debit Card for protection when you need it. Should you need it and overdraw your checking account with your Beacon Debit Card you’ll be charged a fee of $10 each time you use your debit card without sufficient funds. Not a bad price for peace of mind when you need it. Disclosure: We will authorize and pay overdrafts under our Debit Card Overdraft Coverage (ODC) for the following types of checking account transactions: Point of Sale transactions and ATM withdrawals made with your Beacon Federal Debit Card. We will charge you a $15 fee each time we pay an ODC overdraft . There is no limit on the total fees we can charge you for overdrawing your checking account. Whether your overdraft will be paid is at Beacon Federal’s discretion and we reserve the right not to pay. For example, we typically do not pay overdrafts if your checking account is not in good standing, or you are not making regular deposits, or you have had excessive overdrafts. If we do not authorize and pay an overdraft, your transaction will be declined. Once an overdraft has occurred you are obligated to promptly bring your checking account to a positive balance.
