Taking A Trip? Make sure you remember to let Beacon know!

Whether you are going for a long weekend or even a month, planning is essential. You’ll make reservations, find points of interest and choose your wardrobe. Will you remember to let Beacon know that you’ll be out of town and may be using your Beacon Debit Card in cities you don’t visit every day?
This may turn out to be the best planning you’ll do for your trip!

Your financial security is important to Beacon. Our software systems employ advanced technology that continuously monitors our members’ accounts for fraudulent activity. Use of your Beacon Debit Card outside of the United States may indicate abnormal activity on your account and cause us to question your card’s transactions - possibly even temporarily suspending your card until we are able to validate the transactions. If we know ahead of time of your travel plans, we can document your account accordingly.

Travelers can be prey to would-be thieves. Your safety and the safety of your money are important to us. Please use caution when using your card in unfamiliar places.

Remember, once you have chosen a date and location for your trip, your next step should be contacting Beacon and letting us know your travel plans. Stop by your local branch, call us at (888) 256.3800 or use your online banking secure email. We’ll need to know your travel dates and destination as well as the name on the card that will be used on the trip.

Thanks for helping us help you. Enjoy your trip!
